The Ballet Shop was first opened in 2000 as an experiment, when I first decided I wanted to experiment with importing pointe shoes for myself and my friends. I started with a very small order and very soon my friends were ordering items from me. Slowly, I began to visit schools and receive orders, and then I acquired half the shares in Palkett - The YADA Shop, which has a Palkett Facebook page. This shop is today solely owned by myself, under the wing of The Ballet Shop.
